Employee Wellness Assistant
My name is Annalisa Parkin. I started working at USU as the Wellness Assistant for the Employee Wellness Program back in September of 2015. I got my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition from Brigham Young University. I have had a passion for health and wellbeing since my days in high school, starting with my days of track, cross country, and dance. I dedicated the next 10 years of my life to studying exercise and nutrition, and various types of exercise classes (yoga, Pilates, strength training) so that I could help get people the answers and results they needed.
I became certified as a Personal Trainer through NASM and spent a couple years doing personal training, nutrition counseling, and exercise class instruction. I even learned the art of boxing, and discovered ways to incorporate that into my teaching regimen. I love being able to continuously educate myself in the ways of making life happier. Not just through physical activity and diet, but through learning more about stress management, community involvement, and continual education of various skills to help people feel more confident and happier about themselves and the lives they are leading. Please let me know of ways I can be of help to you to make the most of your Wellness Program. I look forward to being able to serve you!
