Employee wellness classes are available virtually and in-person to all USU benefit-eligible employees and spouses/partners across the state, and Community Members (anyone over the age of 18 who is not a current, benefit-eligible USU employee or spouse). Benefit eligible employees and their spouses/partners receive a discounted price as a part of their USU benefits package.

Each workout will provide a combination of cardiovascular, plyometric, and bodyweight movements and can be personalized to meet your fitness needs and goals. Whether you are an avid backcountry skier trying to stay conditioned or a relatively new student of fitness that wants to be tested in various aspects, this class will demand everything that you can bring each day to class!

Cardio Express is a high-energy, total-body, cardiovascular workout that focuses on proper form and getting the most out of your 30 minutes. While cardio will be the main focus, this class also includes body-weight strength training intervals. Workouts will vary between track workouts, HIIT workouts, and recovery workouts. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish in just 30 minutes.

This class will teach you the basics of mat work Pilates. As we go through the progression of exercises, we will work on proper breathing and posture. Each participant will learn how to increase control of muscle movements by gaining a greater sense of mind-body awareness. In addition to increased control, core strength and stability will also improve. We will focus on working all parts of the body equally to create better muscle symmetry for improved balance and coordination, better posture, and decreased stress and back pain. If you are looking for a class to help relieve mid-day stress while still increasing your muscle tone and core strength, then this is the class for you.

Say goodbye to tight muscles and hello to flexibility in your movement. By using a soft foam roller and doing specific moves on the roller, your body will find a new way to stretch that brings back the vitality and ease to move. The roller moves will help improve performance, decrease the risk of injury, and improve your recovery from injury. Roller moves will address the shoulder complex, neck, and hip area of the legs. Sip water through the day before class to help hydrate those tight muscles and bring a water bottle for during the class.

Do not let the name, "Water Aerobics" fool you! This is a high-intensity, low-impact, high-calorie burn class. This class is created for all different age groups, physical conditions, and abilities. We do many different toning and strengthening exercises. It is extremely helpful for anyone who is feeling "burned out" and needing a change of routine. Not only does exercising in water reduce injury by protecting and cushioning your joints, but also helps with blood circulation. We use many different exercise equipment specifically made for water. Water reduces injuries, especially back pain, and also allows your joints more range of motion.

Whether you have arthritis or not this is a great exercise program that you can complete in the comfort of your own home or office. A video exercise class specifically designed to help relieve stiffness and pain that comes with arthritis and/or aging. Yes, that is right…we said exercise and arthritis in the same sentence! If you do not suffer from arthritis, but would like stretches and exercises you can do at the comfort of your own desk and chair at work, then this video class is for you. You will do many range of motion movements, as well as strengthening exercises for the whole body, starting from our head and neck, down to our toes!

Registration & Payment

To register for a fitness class is a two step process: (1) register using the on-line form, and (2) pay for the class. Both steps must be complete for your registration to be finalized.

Please note that space is limited for these classes and priority is given for those who have registered for an individual class, with space reserved for All Access members as available. All classes must have a minimum of 5 employees, so grab a friend and come join us!

All-Access Fitness Passes

All-Access Fitness Passes are available for $75 for USU employees and $85 for community members. Pass holders are able to attend all fitness classes during the current semester. All-Access Fitness Passes are available to full-time USU employees, their spouses/partners and community members.
