Hello. I’m Dr. LuAnn Helms, a psychologist in USU Counseling and Psychological Services. In addition to the many health benefits of exercise, for many individuals (including myself), exercise can be an excellent tool for decreasing stress. Exercise has also been shown to decrease symptoms of depression and anxiety and to improve sleep quality and confidence. Over the last several years, I have participated in and enjoyed several USU Wellness classes and services. As a USU Wellness Ambassador, I hope to help get the word out to USU staff about this wonderful resource that is available to them.
