My personal wellness goals include maintaining my lowered A1C blood level. I have recently reduced this from 6.8 to 5.7 through diet and exercise and have avoided having to take any kind of medication. I have been working out 5 days a week, but I have recently lined out a plan to begin running. I would also like to include a walk during my lunch hour 3 days a week. I have a really bad back and have found that exercise is really the key to feeling better. For our office, I would like to encourage healthy choices at our monthly lunch meetings. I would love to map out a walking route for staff and students to use around our building. Last year we hosted our first 5K. I would love to run a campaign encouraging staff and students to participate this year either walking or running.
